God is Still Answering Prayer

We have much good news.  Two couples with whom we have walked through the valley of separation and pending divorce have both reconciled!  And it was on the same day.  Three weeks ago Stewart and I received phone calls.  I got the call from a young women I have been discipling and Stewart got a call from a dear friend with whom we have been praying. Jesus gives hope to the hopeless.  Please uphold these two couples in prayer as they still have much to overcome." For I am confident of this very thing, that He who began a good work in you will perfect it until the day of Christ Jesus."  Phil 1:6

Passover is Just Around the Corner

It is Passover Season for us.  Although the holiday is almost a month away.  Both Stewart and I (Shosh) have already begun speaking in Churches presenting, "Christ in the Passover".  This year Stewart's tour takes him to Ohio and Pennsylvania where he will have 25 speaking engagements.  I will be going to Kansas, Texas, Arkansas and Oklahoma where I have 22 meetings.  Please pray with us that believers will bring their Jewish family members and friends to participate in this wonderful celeberation of he Lamb of God Who takes away the sin of the World.  Enjoy this clip from Sesame Street!

Go Among the People and Tell

Stewart and Shoshannah on our way to a Sortie
Each week we go out onto the streets and subway stations to hand out Gospel Broadsides (tracts).  Some people think this is an outdated mode of evangelism.  But, I have to say on Monday no less than 10 Hassidic Men and one woman took one of my broadsides.  And they knew exactly who I was.  Afterall, we are human billboards.  Please pray God will bear fruit by bringing those Jewish people into our lives who are earnestly seeking to know the truth about who Jesus is.

My Hearts Desire and Prayer to God.....

This week we began to pray and walk this Community in Brooklyn.  Please pray that God will give us open doors of ministry to these precious people.  This is an orthodox run bakery where Shosh, stopped in to get a cup of hot coffee and warm up.  The workers were very friendly here.  Please pray we will develop ongoing relationships with then.

It is God Who Determines Our Days

Zackary, Arielle and Shoshannah
It was just a year ago that Zachary was given a 5% chance of survival by his doctors at Cornell Hospital. Arielle, is the mother of twin boys, Zachary and Tidus. The twins were born 3 months pre-mature with many medical challenges. The boys are 2 1/2 years old now. Tidus is still hospitalized but is progressing beyond medical predictions. Zachary has been home from the hospital for 7 months now. Shosh meets with Arielle for weekly bible study. It has been a privilege to come along side and witness God at work in this little family. Please pray for the health of both boys. Zachary still has a few surgeries ahead of him. And, for Arielle who is in college. Arielle is in need of housing for her and Zachary. Will you pray with us for God's provision? That would be a great blessing!

Faith in Action

Here is the New York City Library on 5th Avenue after our second snow storm of the season.  This is where I (Shosh) go to prepare Bible Studies. It is only a 15 minute walk from our apartment, and much quieter.  Currently I meet with four Jewish women weekly to study the Word of God and to learn how to apply the Word to everyday life.

One of these is a young lady by the name of Arielle. I began meeting with her last January. Arielle is the mother of twin boys who were born 3 months premature.  They are now 2 1/2 years old.  Both boys have serious medical needs and have been hospitalized most of their lives. Tidus is still in the hospital while his brother, Zachary has been home now for almost 6 months.  Arielle has a long road ahead.  She is also starting college this semester.

Here are some prayer request:
1. Healing for Tidus from recent brain surgery.
2. Upcoming surgery for Zachary to have his trachea removed
3. Housing for Arielle and Zachary in a Christian community
4. That Arielle will continue to trust God for all things

Today is the Day of Salvation

As we enter a new year we are thankful for the faithfulness of God in allowing us to participate in His salvation of Jewish people.  Our New York City Staff was blessed to witness the salvation and  baptism of an Ultra Orthodox Jewish man in December.  This gentleman has been considering the claims of Jesus for almost 25 years. More than a few missionaries from Jews for Jesus and other Jewish missions have had a part in his spiritual journey. To protect his privacy we are not able to share photos or his name.  However we do request prayer for him.

1.  For continued spiritual growth
2.  For courage and the right timing in sharing his faith with his family
3.  For protection as his community discovers his faith
