Israel Day Parade

June 5th was Israel Independence Day. The Jewish community has a parade along 5th Avenue every year to celebrate and show their support for the land of Israel.  Last year a group of us went in Jews for Jesus T-shirts and handed out Gospel tracts.  We had a few good conversations with Jewish people.  But, we encountered more hostility than usual and decided to try a different approach this year.

Stewart was speaking in a church out of town so Karol, another missionary from our Brooklyn branch and I headed to the parade in blue shirts that said: Yeshu=Yeshua=Salvation.  It is a play on words in Hebrew.  And Our shirts were in Hebrew letters.  Therefore only Hebrew speakers knew our message. Instead of handing out Gospel Tracts we carried Israel Flags and walked along with the crowd.  We had some very good conversations this year with people who approached us.   I have to admit after facing intense hostility last year I was nervous .  But it was awesome!  It's all a learning process we must constantly re-evaluate our strategies in regards to how we relate to our Jewish people.  Enjoy the photos!

On Tour

During the month of April our Jews for Jesus Missionary staff hits the road.  We are sharing Christ in the Passover in over 1400 churches around the country.  Please pray we will have fruitful ministry to the church and that Jewish people will come and hear God's plan to redeem his to some of our

Stewart and I (Shosh) have been traveling for almost two weeks.  Stewart is speaking in 24 churches presenting Christ in the Passover in Pennsylvania and Ohio.  He is going to be seeing some of our long time supporters and friends which is a great blessing.

Shoshannah is speaking in 23 churches in Kansas, Oklahoma, Arkansas and Texas.  This is Shosh's first full Passover Tour.   Shosh says, "It's a party!".  "I love seeing new places and having opportunities to share Jesus with people I meet on the road."

A Wolf in Sheep's Clothing

Please pray for Yong.  A Chinese woman Shosh met in an ice cream shoppe.  Yong was doing a Bible study with a Jehovah Witness.  When Shosh caught on to what was happening, she waited the for JW to leave and engaged Yong in a conversation.  Yong said, "I just want someone to teach me the Bible so I can decide for myself if I should be a Christian".  Shosh got Jong in touch with a Chinese pastor from a church where she presented Christ in the Passover last week.  Please pray for Pastor Nyu and Jong as they look at the Scriptures together.  And, praise God that God sent Shosh to  protect this precious lamb from a wolf in sheep's clothing!
